Sub contractor laws

Posted 12-05-2008 at 12:47 PM by wasden

Would anyone know the laws governing sub contractors and their hiring choices? I was hired by my friend who contracted with Wilding Wallbeds to install beds. I'm his assistant. We have worked for over a year doing this work. In the last 2 months the owners of Wilding Wallbeds now say they want my friend to use their warehouse employees to assist him installing beds instead of me to keep them working. How can they dictate to a private sub contractor on who he can employ? Is this legal? Any advice?
