Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Affirmation: My ever praising God transforms the negative assault of the enemy into a spring of sweet waters which refreshes me.

Begin your day by walking the floor & worshiping God. You've got to stir up the gift that's within you and get your mind functioning right. (2Tim1:6) - Norvel Hayes

Exercising faith to fulfill your call will always result in permanent spiritual results - "fruit which remains" measured by the lives you have dramatically changed. - Dennis Cramer

"You did not choose me, but I chose you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last, Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name." - John 15:16

When we emphasize personal salvation more than a personal Savior, we are asking people to put their trust in an experience rather than in Jesus Christ. - Ros Rinker

Man is free, for he is in the image of divine liberty; and that is why he has the power to choose. - Paul Evdokimov

Affirmation:
My identity is truly in the Lord Jesus Christ and my priestly calling is to minister and intercede for others on a daily basis.

It should be our goal every day to see the Lord more clearly, to be more occupied with Him so that He will more fully occupy our heart. - Rich Joyner

Fallow ground is ground which has once been tilled but which now lies waste. It needs to be broken up and mellowed before it is again ready to receive grain. Examine and note the state of your mind - see where you are. Go deep and turn the ground up so that it will all be mellow and soft. Then it will be ready to receive the seed and bear fruit a hundredfold. - Charles Finney

"And other seeds fell into good soil and brought forth grain..." - Mark 4:9

When you ask yourself, "Do I have enough faith?" you have already put faith as a hindrance between you and Jesus' finished work. The more you focus on your faith, the more faith slips away. But if you focus on the finished work of Christ and see God's grace toward you, God sees that as faith! - Joseph Prince

Pride has a devilish quality that keeps us from sensing our need for God's grace. - Jim Cymbala

Affirmation:
The power that I have been given to testify of the coming Kingdom is the power of life, which is more precious than anything I could ever possess on this earth.

It is not that I will not hear God, but I am not devoted in the right place. I am devoted to things, to service, to convictions, and God may say what He likes but I do not hear Him. - Oswald Chambers

The disciples remembered the "facts" of the two miraculous feedings, but they had forgotten any spiritual lessons they might have learned. Likewise some people can quote scripture or remember what the sermon was about, but they can't perceive the spiritual life in the message. - Andrew Wommack

"And He said to them,
"Do you not yet understand?" - Mark 8:21

Our expectation causes us to press into God, enter His presence, knowing He will go before us and open up the way. (Micah 2:13) - Barbara Yoder

Intercessors who become weary in their warfare would do well to remember that our victory is already assured. (Rom.16:20) - Dick Eastman
