Ahhhh... Saturday... 8)

DH left not long ago to continue working on the house he's preparing for re-sale. (He buys, restores, and re-sales homes for his income.) The pooches are snuggled into their respective places, snoozing, and I am close to dressing and heading outside to weed.

It's a good life, thank you, God.

Last night was my first Functional Metabolic Circuit Training (FMCT) class at Gold's Gym, and I was only able to complete the first 15 minutes, of 30 (three sets of five exercises; each one minute) -- and then not completing each exercise. In fact, I couldn't even do some of the exercises as instructed, but had to have the instructor modify them to my limitations.

The only other person in class was a 23 year old male; I'm 55.

Still, I did what I could, and even though I left halfway through, I think if I had not done those 30 minutes on the elliptical machine before going to the class I would've done the full class. I was happy with my performance.

Next class is Monday night, and I hope to do better in that one.

Today's forecast is 65 and partly cloudy, with morning temps still only in the 50s -- perfect for yard work. Afterward, Bigun will need his 90 minute walk. Weekend walks are my job. DH takes the weekday walks. We're a team!

I've set my work table up in my studio to start another quilting project this afternoon. Another effort to use up the fabrics I've accumulated over the years. The last project was tiebacks for my drapes, using fabric left over from the bed quilt I made. This one will hopefully use more of those remnants, to make a seat cushion for my rocking chair.

My cousin asked me to help her compile stories of our mutual family histories a few months ago, and I've gotten inputs from my mom, great-aunt, and another cousin. If I have any time left between the other intentions, I am hoping to sequence what I've acquired into chronological order, now that we've been able to identify dates.

My perfect weekend.

I hope your time is spent as you desire, too. God's blessings.

Deb
