The first "Summer" weekend...

Here in the PNW, we've been experiencing mostly grey skies with rain, and temperatures in the 50s-60s, so this sunny weekend in the low 70s has everyone out in their shorts and flipflops, riding bikes, pushing lawn mowers, or walking the trails.

DH and I spent Saturday morning looking at ceiling fans and light fixtures for our newly enclosed deck -- now sun room. Just back from a four day fishing trip in Eastern WA, with an eviction facing him for the foreclosure he bought just before leaving, his mood wasn't the best. After coming home for lunch, I thought it best to leave him to his own occupations (and thoughts) and I ran errands alone. He built a jump stand for Bigun's agility work, and they trained away what was left of the afternoon.

This morning, I used what energy I had early, walking Bigun before the "heat" came, and then settling in with my book. DH washed the outside windows, served his eviction paperwork, and now he's dressing for this afternoon's concert.

We're leaving very soon to pick up a good friend and see The Pacifica Chamber Orchestra perform in Edmond's Holy Rosary Church, directed by Fred Chu. Afterward, our friend has suggested they serve us fresh salmon. How could we say no? It will be the highlight of the weekend!

Tomorrow takes us back to our jobs, thank God. DH will do whatever comes next on his foreclosure, and I will do whatever comes up at the office, and we will be grateful that we have the opportunities to do what is put before us.

Whatever you do, I hope it feeds your soul as well as your tummy. I hope you face the adversities of your life with the same humor as you great the funniest situation, and you share the love that lives in your heart.That will be my aim, and hopefully my gain.
