What Character Am I?

Posted 03-17-2011 at 07:08 AM by LookinForMayberry

I am a reader. As a fat little girl with too much mental activity, I found books a welcome escape from my mother's sharp tongue. If she complained, I just told her I had a book report for school, or went outside and read -- away from that tongue. I read everything and anything that is available, if I find myself without my own reading material, and find all of it informative. Enough back story.

The other day I was driving to a friend's house, and musing about Moammar Gadhafi and his present role as a villain. Unless memory fails me, I believe he was once a hero to the Libyans. Now, he's moved from liberator to despot -- and a very dangerous despot, one that still thinks of himself as a liberator.

The development (or degradation) of his character could be made into a very interesting book.

Of course, any dawning realization about others is really only about oneself, so I naturally wondered: "What has been my character development in MY story?" or, if I were a character in a book, which would I be: protagonist, or antagonist?

Sadly, as I started watching myself in the different situations I faced in the following days, I determined that I would not really be rooting for my book character, if I were reading My story. Probably, I would be shaking my head, wondering how anyone could be so self-righteous and conceited.

It was a good lesson for me and hopefully I will be able to integrate it into my evolving character. With God's blessings, everything is possible. Somehow, I think that the key is to think less about what I want, and more about serving others needs.

That's if for now. Have a nice day.

Like any 'good Dictator', they all start out as 'liberators' of some sort. From Lennin to Castro, to Quadaffi and others who will attain power with the help of the people, then, when they attain it, they have no idea of what to 'do' with it!

Eventually, every Dictator will think themselves in some 'god like' fashion, because they have accomplished something, and have the power of life and death in thier hands...(Mainly because they manage to kill all of the opposition, so they cement thier power to absolute).

Hugo Chavez is the latest 'Dictator' who has 'put one over' the people, and is cementing his power, so that he will be absolute in his rule-->to the point, of not even having to go through their Senate to make law now).

But, like all good Dictators, the people will wake up, and smell the coffee and find out that they have been hoodwinked for all those years or generations and toss out the bums, with a National uprising. The Arabian Nations are experiencing this now, who knows how long it will take to get to other places we know.

    I wish you well...
