Florida Bound: My Week Ahead
I'm so excited to be leaving for my vacation to Florida soon. My girlfriend LeighAnn and I are travelling to Port Charlotte for a week to visit my parents who live there. Also, my sister Lynn and her boyfriend Dave, who both live in Buffalo N.Y., will also be there next week. Dave's parents own a condo in Ft. Myers and stay there for parts of the winter, so they are going to split their time between the two families and two cities which are only about an hour's drive apart. Since I didn't get to see any of my family this year for either Thanksgiving or Christmas, this is really our holiday get-together time. A time when flights are cheaper, and travelling the country isn't so crazy..!
The weather next week in Port Charlotte FL is supposed to be in the low to mid 70's, and high 60's. Booya!! Way better than this 20, 30 and sometimes if we're lucky 40 degree temperatures we've been experiencing in Seattle.
Palm trees, boating with dolphins, swimming in the heated pool, beers at the Lock N Key looking out over the Gulf of Mexico; HERE I COME!!
I have SO much to accomplish before we fly out in a few days. Painting, packing, work related stuff, getting the dogs situated. I have virtually no time between now and our flight. BUT on our layover in Atlanta, when the harried packing and trip preparation is complete, I'm going to sit back and enjoy myself a Margarita even if it is 8 o'clock in the morning.. Just to say "Vacation, I've arrived!"
here are a couple photos of where I will be spending some of my time next week.
Cheers ya'll, have a great week!
