I've had a busy weekend. Went skiing up at Stevens Pass on Saturday which meant getting up at 6:30 (or so with the snooze), and my buddy John and I ended up Skiing 17 runs. It was an awesome day..!! I ended up under dressing and it was about 20 degrees. Usually I over dress, and for some reason this time around I didn't do much research, and low and behold; I was pretty chilly. I forgot my goggles too, thought perhaps my sunglasses would work just fine (they didn't, it wasn't sunny), and so I was about the only idiot (seriously I was the only one I saw) on the mountain without goggles. In spite of this and being chilly, it was a great day and I'm planning to head back up this Sunday, the day after Christmas, or Boxing Day for the Canadians out there.
Also, that night on Sat we had friends over at 8pm for a ping pong match and drinks, and I didn't get to bed until after mid-night. Since that was like a 2 part day, and I was all worn out, I ended up sleeping until 11am on Sunday - which was also awesome. Hadn't done that for awhile. My motivation didn't kick in until later Sunday, and I started working on my house.

See, in order for me to move to Phoenix, or anywhere, I need to sell my home in Seattle this Spring. And while it is in totally great shape and looks nice, there are many small odd jobs that need completing. I made a list of these odd jobs, and I try to check off one bigger project per week, and 1 smaller thing each day. SO, I slacked a bit this weekend - but I did complete a wooden box I've been meaning to build to cover some exposed pipes in the garage. So that was good.

Anyway, since I'm super busy, this blog is going to have to wait. Just wanted to check in on the 1st day of winter..!! back soon.

P.S. Stevens Pass is my favorite place I've found to ski in the Northwest.

Here's a nighttime shot taken just now from their webcam at 4:47 Dec 20th. (Have to double click it!)
