OK, its Christmas time again... Time to start making the fudge for family and fiends again...
Its a tradition my Wife started many years ago, and I get 'volunteered' into stirring the marshmellow and peanut butter or chocolate into the mix, then pouring it out on pans...
Its a good thing that everyone usually returns the 'tins' that my Wife sends this stuff in, cause if they dont, well, its almost guaranteed that the next year, they will be getting a smaller tin can, instead of the big ones we started everyone out on LOL... My Wife hits a lot of thrift stores for the tins, (this 'going green' is for the birds, cause they dont pack everything in tin anymore, but use plastic, or just pack it in plastic bags, and it confuses me all to here and there, cause 'tin' will rust a lot quicker than plastic will take to decay!!).
My Wife has a nice selection of tins in the basement she brings up every year, and I have to cut along the lid on wax paper between the rows, and line the tins, then layer the fudge with chocolate, peanut butter and thats either with or with out nuts in both of them, sheesh! (Yea, gotta check the list on who wears dentures and who doesnt LOL!!). Who would of 'thunk' that chopped walnuts would get under peoples dentures, except those who wear them, and they let us know about it-->Reason I dont invite people to dinner, if I happen to make 'home made' spaghetti sauce, cause I leave the seeds in from the tomatoes and was told that they get under the plates, sheesh!! Blast, its tough to get old, and I dont plan on wearing any dentures...
I dont know, I was taught to brush my teeth, wasnt everyone else taught that too??? I cant believe how many old people dont have thier teeth anymore... Mighty cor'n-fusin to me
A friend of ours brought three bags of candy down, so now I have to 'unwrap' (twist ties are a pain when you get a whole bunch of them critters), so I can dump some into each of the bags, besides the stuff I already put in them-->let them rascals get a sugar buzz and let 'em bounce off the walls at home and drive thier Parents nuts LOL...serves them right!! At least they will know what my Wife goes through with some of them each Sunday
My Daughter picked up a virus from my Son, in her computer... I dont know?? I put an antivirus in her computer (it was formerly mine, before my Wife bought me this wal-mart special, and I was happier with my older one!)... He picked up a virus and went to crash his computer, put all her pictures on disc and she put them in her computer and BAM!! No anti-virus in her computer now, (said that she crashed it before and my Son took it out!!?? Duh, why would anyone take out an anti-virus that I paid a year to have??, sheesh). I dont know how long she has been with out one, but, I was informed of it today and took out a ton of stuff she had in her computer...
OH, she just came in and told me, she doesnt have Wifi or internet anymore... ***sigh***
If it isnt one thing, its another as my Dad always said, so now, I will try and restore everything to yesterday, and with it, probably the virus will be back too... Somedays, you cant fight City Hall, and its best to stay in bed, and its getting so that I dont even want to get as far as my bedroom door, cause I know theres trouble on the other side of it LOL...
OH, Nancy, send me your Mom's Address so that I can put it on my FaceBook... Got some of your relatives in Ashtabula who want to send her Christmas Cards, and I dont feel like trying to scream over the phone at her, when she cant hear anything we are saying!! (Drives me nuts, listening to my Wife talk to your Mom, cause I can hear it from every point in the entire house!! LOL).
