My Daughter is celebrating her 18th Birthday today! (Yea, its early by quite a few days, but, since the local news says the National Weather whatchamacallit is calling for a Winter Storm advisory tomorrow and its going to snow for the beejeebers for the next two days, so its best to get it in while we can!!).
Shame, but today is a beautiful day outside...
Wife is putting out decorations on the porch, (garland and lights) for Christmas (and to dress up a rather drab looking porch anyways LOL). She hollared into me that a parade was 'happening' across the highway, but, what am "I" to do? Im not going to walk across the highway to see it, cause the silly thing would be done and over by the time I got there, sheesh! (Reason I dont race snails anymore, with the ignomity of me being beaten to the finish line by more lenghts than should be legally allowed, its just down right embarrasin anymore ROTFLOL-->YEA, I think its funny, but, a sad turn of events sheesh!!).
Son reported to me, that he thinks he has a virus on his computer!! Got a pop up on there, and he ran his anti-virus and had a few trojans, (dont ask me, all I know about a trojan is from the Greek Mythology about the trojan horse, so its all 'Greek to me'-->and I dont mean that in any discerning fashion, cause I love Greek people...my Neighbors who are Greek are fantastic people!!).
I just wish that we didnt have all the 'nitwits' who hate the World and have to put out viruses and trojans and all the other doohickeys and whatchamacallits, because they dont have anything better to do, while down in thier Parents basements-->where else would any decent hacker be, but the bowels of the Earth LOL!! Shame they cant put that talent to better use, by making this place a better World...***hearing echos of Poilyanna... Pollyana...Pollyanna***
Got an email into my Insurance Company because I got a letter saying I can put my Son back on my Insurance for a few more years...
Maybe that vote I didnt cast for President Obama is going to pay off anyways, so I can put him back on my Insurance and he can save his money, for when he decides to get a better job, and gets his own place. Thats something I dont look forward to, but, I know every child must fly the coop at some point in thier life, I just hope he is stable enough in his job, (and getting five days a week, each week to work), so he can save up the money and then do the 'great move' to independence!! Personally, I hope he can save enough to practically pay for a home, when he leaves, since I dont charge him rent or anything...(He doesnt 'blow' his money away friviously, and saves most of it, so, he is taking my advise and saving for a home!! ATTA BOY!!
My Son and I cleaned our Electronic Air Cleaner a few days ago... Cant get the thing to work, so, looks like the first of the year I maybe calling the guy who put it in for a service call and get the silly thing working-->thats AFTER I read the instructions and see if I can figure out for myself why it simply wont work... There are a few tricks my buddy taught me about them, I havent tried, like I had to do to my last one, (bypassing this, yanking the air hose off of that), but, I hate to do it to a brand new one...sheeesh)...
Hard to believe, its such a beautiful Sunny Day outside, and by this time tomorrow, I maybe a few inches in snow...Just dont seem right!! Winter should only come in January, and be ready to leave by February!! I would be happy LOL Shame I dont live down in Georgia or someplace South, except for those 'skeeters and bugs', cause the further South you go, the bigger them critters are, it seems!!
Cant imagine what its like in the bayous... Skeeters must be big enough to drain ya of blood if they get a couple of good 'uns on ya!!
Ive been to Florida for one day, St Pete, and it was beautiful down that way, but it was Winter time in North Carolina, and was worth the drive, (my Buddy had to move some furniture from his Mothers House to NC). Palm trees in every yard, and well manicured lawns, simply Georgeous!! Thing is, I didnt see any of those 'palmetto bugs'-->what we call Roaches in our neck of the woods, and I hear they are everywhere down there, so, no thanks to that one! Something I cant stand is bugs in a home, guests, you can get rid of, after three days, but, bugs come to stay, and the Exterminator is needed to eradicate them out!
My Cousins in Arizona always tell me how 'wonderful' it is over -->that way, or is it <--This way?? Always tell me that it never gets below 60 degrees and how beautiful it is...but, last time she was here (for her father's passing), she confessed it gets cold out that way, so I ask myself, why move to a place where they already have 4 Seasons, when I have that, here in Ohio, already...And that doesnt even take into account, the 'orange barrel' season, which seems to last forever!!!
Well, its almost time for the 'girls' to be overwhelming the household for the party... Sure am glad that none of them are staying the night, all the squalling and carrying on all night long, and smelling popcorn all night long, tends to make me want to eat!! Seems like they can consume tons of popcorn, while watching this or that, and when I get up to do my nightly comfort station routine, well, the smell is enough to make me want to raid the fridge like a hungry bear sheesh!!
