Tips on Making You Apartment More Zen

Posted 12-02-2010 at 09:22 PM by RENTtucson.us

Seem like you're always moving from one project or to do to the next with hardly a chance to catch your breath between? Does your Phoenix apartment feel disorderly and messy and more just like a space to sleep, change your clothes and eat just to get out of bed the following day and start yet again? Think about these habits to change your new place into a our world of zen!

Design a white space - Inside your Phoenix apartment, having a white space means to allocate a place where you relax and sit, breathe, and savor moments of simplicity when you need it. This doesn't necessarily have to be the color white, it can be in the corner of your main room which might have a big comfortable chair where you are able to plop down, close your eyes and steal a few minutes for yourself. Some other ideas for white spaces with your Phoenix apartment might be discovered on your private patio or deck, where one can have your individual place, and have a view/open space too.

Quit over scheduling your life (and your kids!) - If you are a planner by nature, just remember to plan a little unscheduled time, specifically in between projects! You should have recuperation time, even in the event it’s only a few moments to refocus on the next item on your list. In case you are a commuter, a fantastic way to move from work/home and then back, is to park your car faraway from your job and use time on bus or train to listen to music, read magazines, write in a journal, or simply shut your eyes. Use this time as a buffer as you transition from work to home.

Protect your space - To help keep your home as a peaceful sanctuary, be diligent and keep it arranged, clean and fresh smelling. Encourage tranquility simply by helping teenagers learn positive conflict resolution, respectful communication with your others who live nearby, and get some fresh flowers in rooms.

Zen your diet - If you would like to make a change in your home, now is the time to make a change at every level to affect a much deeper and more significant change. Have a look at switching your meal planning for a full week to leave out fats, sugars, meat and caffeinated drinks.

Work for substance, not success - Take on assignments that you really are concerned about and produce a passion inside of you. Your inner fire can be inspirational making a big impact on others. Have the freedom to say NO to jobs that do not fit into those criteria. You will have more space and time for yourself and for more purposeful projects.

Your Phoenix apartment is a really excellent place that you can start creating zen habits! There are numerous methods for getting started! Whether or not you load a bag of discarded clothing for donation, redesign your bathrooms, file the pile of newspapers, or just light a candle and meditate for a few minutes, you'll find a peaceful place in your Phoenix apartment by working towards organization, creativity and and create a positive change!
