Starting the Week on the Right Path

Posted 11-07-2010 at 05:21 AM by LookinForMayberry

Yesterday I worked on an editing proposal for a homeless advocacy newsletter and website page. After submitting it to the Executive Director, I went to see my DH's property project he'd finished, and then went on to my volunteer training at the animal shelter. I am to be their receptionist on Tuesday evenings, from five to seven. The day before, I submitted my application to work the same shift on Thursdays, for a nearby food bank. If they accept me, I will have accomplished my plans set prior to our coming home from the trip.

I had worried about whether I could juggle all the schedules, but I think I can manage and still have time with my DH and the pooches. Bigun isn't getting the exercise he wants; neither am I, but that's mostly because of our dark autumn nights and the rains. Such is life in the PNW.

Finally, I am starting the week on the right path. I feel that I can do what our The Christ instructed:

Matthew 25:40
“... ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’"
