hey there you all, got a question for you and hopefully someone will at least give me some input to this, perferably alot of inputs.
Okay here it is what do you think is a good waiting period after a divorce to go on a date and what would that date extent of ,,, just doing something & no kissing, or what? freaky question but hey this seems like a cool place to ask.. by the way the marriage was of 20 pluse years. And there is no chance of a reconcilation at all. Just happier being friends than partners.

Unless you have children at home who would be upset by your dating, I don't see why you should have to wait a reasonable amt. of time to begin to date again..Have fun, and stay single

Questions to ask:
Kids? Their age and how they feel? And if this is not in the equation then ask yourself how you would feel if you ex started dating now. If you did split as friends and you can honestly say to yourself if he/she started dating now you'd wouldn't care then go for it! Well if you're ready, after 20+ yrs of marriage it might be a big change.Posted 11-13-2008 at 06:02 AM by SouthernCharm29 -
Thanks for the input
Hello, blue62, and SuthernCharm29
Just wanted to say thanks for the input, as far as my ex-husband goes, I do wish him the best but all he ever gets attracted to is these really nasty older women, and he is a very kind, good looking, so I do worry and have concern for him he does deserve a respectful women and sencere, but as for my kids they are two girls in mid to lower twentys, so grown and loves to really check out every detail of anyman I just speak with. NO JOKE either, one young guy near me , well my older daughter done a background check with out me knowing until she gave me heck.. so I feel like I walk on egg shells.. just one of the main reasons for looking forward to a new move with in this next 5 months or less. Going to a place where I know no one and no one knows me ,I totally feel inlove with this city the first time I was there and now I am moving as soon as I get a chance.. sorry so long,,, I know rattled off on a million things at once just a very confused egg shell women.
Thanks again,

From friends that I have known a good amount of time is one year, especially after a 20 year marriage. No need to rush into something. Could be a great time to just hang out with friends. The big thing is to give yourself some time to clear your head and your heart.
