looking to relocate to tennessee. Want small semi-rural town with beautiful scenery and lots of outdoor things to do. children are grown and hoping exhusband will return. he is retired and we had always planned to retire to TN. Do not want to live in a "gated retirement community" but would like something similar but not too close to neighbors. want to continue to work in medical or EMS career. Any suggestions for small towns. Something outside of Knoxville has been suggested to me.

Check out norris, tn. It is about 30 minutes north of Knoxville. It is. Semi-rural but still close to the city.

I am planning to retire an two years and we are considering Tennessee. I was wondering if you did move there and if so where? How did it work out for you?

We are in a similar situation. We want to move to either Tennesee or Kentucky in two years. We want to buy about 100 acres of land either somewhere between Clarksville and Nashville, Tennessee or in Kentucky. Any suggestions on a good location?
