Ok, here's my blog. I have a favor for those of you who might read this and belong to facebook. Kohls Cares is sponsoring a contest there for schools, giving away $500K to the top 20 vote-getters.

Some of you might have heard about the tornados that went through NW Ohio on June 5th. Lake High School was destroyed, the elementary and middle schools were also damaged. They were supposed to hold graduation in the high school the next day. The valedictorian lost her dad in this tragedy. Here are some photographs from the newspaper.

If you would be so kind as to vote for them it would help a whole lot. This ends on Sept. 3rd.

Many private schools are offering prizes to get people to vote for them. It's unscrupulous and just plain dirty, in my opinion.

I asked about starting a thread regarding this but was told no, but that I could put it in my blog, so ta da-now I have a blog! If anyone reads this, and if you're logged in to facebook here is a link that will get you to it.

It's Lake High School in Millbury Ohio. This is not a wealthy school system, and they could really use this to help them rebuild.

Thank you for reading this.

What a great blog helping the schools in Mullbury Ohio. I remember the news story about the tornados back in June and the damage that was done. I find it hard to imagine that there can’t be a special thread for this type of information and assistance.

However keep getting the word out as best you can.
