Looks Like the "Respite" is Nearly Over

Posted 08-28-2010 at 09:01 AM by LookinForMayberry

Down to the last two boxes (cards and letters saved from thirty years!), and I figured I would have some time to "relax" by attacking the yard next week.

Getting ready to go for minor surgery yesterday morning, I realized I had not heard from DH (taking me to my appointment), and checked my cellphone. It was set to Silent. (I've got to stop doing that!)

Miracle of miracles! I had THREE missed calls and one voice mail. One was from DH letting me know he was on his way. The other was from my former employer telling me to come over as quick as I could!

I'd called him early LAST week, to see if there might be a time when I could get a tour of the place and all the changes since I'd left. (It's a start up that has acquired some other businesses as well as build its own.) When so many days went by without hearing from him, I'd decided I would have to contact my Accountemps handler to see if she could put me on some assignments.

Well, PRAISE GOD, after going to see what was up yesterday afternoon, I won't have to be contacting Accountemps for at least another six weeks.

Life is so good to me. Thank you God for these blessings. May ALL be blessed as I am being blessed today.
