Busier than I thought I would be and more tired than usual

Posted 08-14-2010 at 08:12 PM by CSD610

What a day today, yeesh. I finally have a chance to sit and relax for a few minutes and still have more I should get done instead of sitting here writing however, I need to sit so I write.

The day started slow as usual, 4:30am, potty, coffee started, dish water run, cream and sugar in said coffee and check the front page news and over night spam. I have to see if I've won the Nigerian lottery over night you know.

First few sips of coffee down and I search for something interesting to read so I usually end up on the ebay chat boards to see if what has been posted there over night. Then I come here and check the threads I have subscribed to. By then coffee cup is empty.

Second cup of coffee started and dish water has cooled enough I can get the overnight dishes done. Coffee is done and back to the computer. A few rounds of pogo then back here.

I wake Sneakers at 7:30am and him and the dog both grunt, snort, roll over and go back to sleep. By then I figure what the heck so I crawl under the blankets and snuggle in and go back to bed, hopefully I am leaving the grunting and snorting to the males of our home.

Sneakers wakes at 9:00am immediately looks at the clock and wakes me. I got up, potty, start more coffee, start breakfast.

After breakfast the race is on and we get all gathered that we need, put Walt in the truck and head to town. First stop was the post office to get 3 packages in the mail. Next into town and the Veterinarian office to make sure Walt's infected ear is completely cleared up, next a friend's home to leave Walt with her while we go to the grocery, the pharmacy, and Goodwill. Back to her home to get Walt and fill the pick up with branches, grass clippings, leaves, etc. then we head home.

Once home groceries are put away and the cart is hooked to the mower then Sneakers and his son promptly sit down with a cold drink and a snack and watch the baseball game. Once that is over, the grill is lit, his son starts mowing, and Sneakers starts filling the mower cart with all the items that are on the carport that should be in the basement and I put bread in the oven.

Supper is done on the grill, bread is done so it is officially time for supper. Grilled chicken, fresh Buttermilk Bread, cottage cheese and applesauce. Now supper is over, the kitchen is completely trashed, I'm exhausted, it is completely dark outside and Sneakers and his son are outside mowing.

What am I going to do about it? Nothing. They want to mow in the dark I get out the bug spray. Currently I am sitting with an empty coffee cup on my left, a snoring dog on the floor in front of my desk and the blissful sound of two mowers running outside in the dark.

It is time for fresh coffee, items that will spoil to be put back into the fridge, chicken to be put into a ziploc and in the fridge, and a smoke after my coffee is done.

Do I feel guilty about the boys working so hard and me sitting on my behind. Yes I do however, with the small complication from surgery I have no choice but to do the cooking, do the clean up and let them do the mowing.

I leave you now with no thoughts unless you choose to come up with them on your own today. I am going to start my coffee, put away the dry dishes, put away the leftovers and play more mind numbing games. Then I will go and snuggle into my nice cool bed and wander the timbers of slumber until 4:30am and my days starts again.

More later ~~~~~~~
