Dog Days

This morning we left the last of the coffee in the pot, to take Bigun out for a walk before the heat hit. We made it seven miles -- a mile short of his preferred distance on non-dog park days, but he seems to be accepting it.
The hot weather that has burned the country for weeks has finally caught up with us, here in Chewelah, WA. The weather service reports our current weather at 92 degrees. (Panting.) I braved the heat to go for groceries after lunch, and the effort sapped me.
Here in this 38' tin can (RV), we thank God for the A/C that we don't have in the Jeep, or at home. DH is working on his fly-fishing leaders, preparing for his time on the Yakima River, next week. I've been working on my current project, a hooked rug kit I bought in Loveland, CO. Until just a few minutes ago, the dogs have both been stretched out, sleeping. Now, having eaten their dinner, Ritz has gone back to sleep, and Bigun is working on the dental treat retrieval from his Kong.
These are the good ol' days -- our dog days.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
