Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

And Just When You Think Everything Had A Reason.....

The routine sometimes changes. The ideas change. Plans for the day change. My mind changes, but that's a whole other blog. Nevertheless, I come into my bedroom in my 808-square foot apartment space with the fabulous patio view, enter past the door, sit in my chair, and turn on my computer.

What happens next?

Well, besides the obvious, of course, I get City-Data.com on my computer like a good boy scout ought to. Why, you ask? Because I'm about to change your life. That's right. I'm set on changing it one life, one thought, and one way at a time. Might not right away, but it will happen. Quite possibly, it'll happen later on. Or, perhaps, it will be seconds from now. The trick is, I don't know how I'll do it as yet. I'm thinking ahead, folks. Right now, I just happen to use my fingers and type away on my keyboard, with tookus firmly planted in seat. Air-conditioning is about to be turned on, as is a Texas custom at this time of the year (yes, folks, it's hot out there, but I don't have to tell you that). Streamlining with audio of a specific out-of-town radio station is set. What's on my mind?

Who knows what will take place in the Case space? I might put together another blog post, or do another YouTube on the Music forum. It may be an opinion elsewhere in a place of interest. And who knows when I might venture over to Community Chat and congratulate someone on a first or fifteenth star? What will I do next?

I could just get up right now and take a break and forget posting. That's it. Great idea! I don't really have anything to post, do I? Naaah. I'll just leave the computer standing idly by while I go watch TV or clean the kitchen sink. Some Planters peanuts are waiting for my munching endeavors. Yeah, maybe that! Then, suddenly, something comes to my mind. Do I really want to come back to the computer?? Oh, but I've got to. Other posters are coming on now and getting very active with their two cents, so isn't it time for ol' Case to chime in with whatever is on his mind? Didn't I say a moment ago that I was going to change your life? What's on that guy's mind so much that he absolutely has to get out of his system?

Just what is it?

You'll just have to find out.

It'll be done on a case-by-case basis!

(Wild laughter emerges from work station as we revel in another crazy moment....)

I can't stop laughing at this, case.

I confess: I knew where I stood until I slipped on that twist. That's a great touch there.

    Keep it up!
