The Political Compass

Posted 07-23-2010 at 11:03 AM by EdEKit

There is a website with a little anonymous quiz that will help you understand your political position. It could surprise you. I was a bit disconcerted learning that I had a tendency toward Libertarian positions. I was not surprised to be in the same quadrant of the compass as Gandhi, Mandela and The Dali Lama.
To take the quiz, its about 10 minutes, CLiCk HERE.

See how you measure up to these well known figures.

You already know how you measure up to this well known figure.

The scoring is 1 to 10 from the center, +10 is extreme conservative economically - 10 extreme liberal, the same with social attitude, + 10 is authoritarian and -10 is libertarian. My score, -6.25 economics -6.31 authority. I get shown up as a liberal Liberal. I believe the scores shown for world leaders were created by committees of experts Not by the individuals named, but Who Knows, maybe George W Bush took the test himself. His placement is right where I would expect him to be, and the test is certainly simple enough to complete.
