This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Rainy Day in Ohio...

Posted 06-05-2010 at 08:48 PM by woodworkingmenace

Been raining all day in Ohio... (Reminds me of that Elvis Presley song, Rainy Day in Georgia..I loved that song...).

Friday, after my Work out session, I came home and my Wife started in the garden, planting her tomatos and all that...(Still wondering how she is getting down 'deep' to loosen the soil, cause I really dont think a 'hoe' will do all that "deep digging" work).
She gave me the job of watering the plants, and I used this 'miracle grow feeder'...she bought from a garage sale for 50cents!! First, the blasted thing LEAKED!! Im thinking, OOOOOK, THATS why they sold it for 50 cents and it looked brand new!! sheesh!
I put the miracle grow in the container (dry as instructed), and it wasnt til the end that it had some water in it?? I dont know if it really worked or not...duh!

After I got done watering everything, my Wife wanted me to sit on the swing with her, (a usual thing we do when it gets towards the evening and the heat goes down a bit), but, it had RAINED that morning, and wouldnt ya just know it...there was water on top of the plastic sheathing I put up there (trying to keep the blasted thing dry, when it rains, but, it never really works!)... Well, as it goes, there was a bunch of dirt and debris on top of this thing, and it had rained a bunch of times, and the stuff started to decay from the tree droppings (cherries, leaves and what ever blew up there), so, when "I" sat down, a whole bunch of water poured down my back!! Talk about STINK!! I was mad enough to start swearing up a storm!! I smelled like a 'raped ape' (yea, something we always said in the Marines, dont know what they smell like, but, fear brings out the stink in any animal, and I smelled bad enough that I couldnt stand myself and didnt want anyone else around me to smell it either, GAG!!). I ran into the bathroom and started a bath and couldnt wait to jump in! Nope, didnt go back out and didnt care to even sit on that blasted thing, sheesh!! I AM going to take that blue plastic tarp off the silly swing, and not worry about getting wet anymore LOL

Our Dashound, (the rat), came in last night and we told our Daughter to give it a bath, because I had to take a tick off of him, and wanted to make sure there wasnt anymore on him... Come to find out, he has a triangular gash on his belly!! My Wife thinks he got it when he tried to get away from us when I was watering the garden, but, I told her, with a gash like that, he would have yelped really loud...cause that was a good chunk of fur missing! My Wife took him to several vets today, (none would take him cause they were all booked up, but, did tell her that it was useless to stitch it up, cause its been left overnight with out anything on it-->she did tell them that she put neosporim on it, but the dog licked it off!) They told her to put some more on, and not worry if he licks it off or not??? Why is it, when we do something silly like that, we would die of poisoning, but, and animal seems to not be affected by it? He isnt complaining or anything, so we are still wondering what took a chunk out of him, at this late stage in the game? He is a couple of years old, been in that yard all the time, and never had a problem like that before?
We are assuming it happened in the yard and not when he got out to run to the neighbors house??
I think I would have seen it, if he did that, cause I looked for ticks the next day...

Today, I was waiting for my wife to get home from garage sales before I got up, but, when I heard the TV, I figured I would sleep a wee bit more...Turns out, I didnt get up til 3pm!! I was MAD!! Wasted a whole day... oh well. Its almost 11pm now, so, I will call it a night.

I wish you well...
