If "being green" (aka: energy efficient) is said to save us money, why aren't we saving any money?
Last year we had a new furnace installed, complete with the "energy star" logo and our fuel bills have doubled. They expect us to use less..... yet the sky's the limit when it comes to excessive taxes & fees. (I'm a NY'er..... "excessives taxes" is our middle name
)
That being said, Why should we be "green" if we're not going to save a cent?
A second thought, Why do we have to pay for free TV in the name of "digital"?
Isn't there some law being violated where Freedom of Information is concerned?
We have a TV not connected to cable, and if we don't buy a box to plug into, it's useless for our local news & weather. What happens when cable goes down? Screwed either way.
Where is our government on freedom of imformation laws? It's FREE for as long as we pay for it, right?
I've lived this long without seeing news in my location in "hi-def" .... do we really need digital-age technology to know about a car accident injuring two, a fire killing a family, a freaking cat stuck in a tree (yeah, we see them stories as "news")?

How come when something comes on a ship its called cargo and when it comes in a car its called a shipment??

I went "green" last night when I mowed the yard, the yard looked nice, maybe the payments wont be too high on the gas I had to finance to mow with
