I saw this book, "Witchcraft Medicine" (I wanted to buy it so I could know more about what the Girlfriend does with herbs, but I didn't) when we went down 4th Avenue at the Tucson Herb Store, after we filled our stomachs with bread bowl clam chowder and beer.The Girlfriend had loves going to this store cuz its the only place she can stock up on all kinds of herbs. I used up her charcoal disks from the Bealtaine ritual. She bought $70 worth of herbs and teas: rosemary, thyme, sage, dragon's blood, comfrey leaves, mugwort, billberry, Yerba Mate and a buttload of other stuff. I didn't buy anything, but was checking out all the jars of herb there. The Girlfriend is a solitary practicing Witch and a certified shaman and she has spells for all kinds of things. She's even gotten me into tarot card reading, but she's really good at interpreting things. She often asks me to go with her to these seminars and workshops at Woman Craft downtown. I try to say I have an open mind about things but some stuff she does just baffles me.
We were having this conversation last night, with me being pissed off about certain coworkers getting away with crap and being arrogant jerks to patients.
Me: You know, Jose just gets on my last nerve. When I come in to shift, he passes on report to me and when we ask the patients how their day went, they all start complaining about the day shift. Its like nobody stands up to that guy. Can't you do a hex on him or something?
Her: Why? I'm not doing one just because he's bothering you. He probably has a demon inside him.
A demon? What're you talking about?
He probably has one in him to drive him to push further. Didn't you have drill instructors who did that?
Yeah but this isn't the military. This is a hospital.
Talk to your supervisor then. Go up the chain of command.
If it were only that easy.
I'll just do a binding spell on him to make sure you don't get any bad energy. You can't change people. They have to do it for themselves.
Well whatever. I just don't want the guy in my face. Just don't come on the floor unless you absolutely have to.
Why? I hardly ever go there anyway. I only went there that one time to bring your lunch.
I think the guy likes you. One of the other techs said he was all googly eyes and asked about you.
Aww. You're getting jealous. That's so sweet.
Blah blah blah whatever. Just don't come to my floor. What're you making anyway?
Mugwort tea. Want some?

Good. I've been having a lot of nightmares lately. Will it knock me out?
It will help you get some sleep. You really should get off the computer more and stop playing those war games.
Yeah well. I just have too much energy that I can't wind down. I'll take some of that tea now.
