The Earth Day Celebration in Sayville is having it's 20th Anniversary! This year's event features a variety of attractions. New this year are two huge inflateable slides for the kids, live music and performances, educational workshops, clowns, demonstrations, a petting zoo, vendors, and so much more. Make a tie-dye t-shirt creation with the KIC Club (Keep Islip Clean) for a small fee (bring a white t-shirt).
Featuring a free raffle, for many chances to win fabulous gifts and gift certificates generously donated by your fine Sayville businesses.
TOTALLY COOL EXHIBIT ALERT! Long Island company EV Propulsion will be displaying 4 regular cars which they have converted to 100% electrical powered! If the funny little eco-cars don't quite suit you, here's an alternative! Learn about converting your own vehicles to electric power and eliminate both your gas bills and emissions! This is an exhibit not to be missed!
BOOK EXCHANGE: Once again, Islip Town is hosting a free used book exchange at Sayville's Earth Day! Long Island libraries have donated scores of used books for kids and adults - just stop by and select a few titles to take home for free. Have some used books to donate? Drop off AFTER 11 am on May 1st, so that the tables are set up.
Earth Day is sponsored by the Town of Islip in cooperation with the Sayville Chamber of Commerce.
