The Old Weathered Road

Posted 06-22-2008 at 06:31 PM by JoshB

The old weathered road.... My place to ride, walk, and relax. The road travels through the meadows that lie within two ridges. The valley that lies beyond the weathered road is one that brings new life. From the baby fawns prancing across the meadows with the sunlight dancing off there shiny coats, to the crickets that play a perfect summer symphony day or night. The old weathered road has seen the new life every spring, the crickets every summer and the generations that traveled it. The old weathered road stays the same throughout summer escorting the deer from meadow to woods. It creates almost a perfect meeting place for all gods beautiful creatures. The road sees the Birch trees fade from there lush green summer leaves to the late September early October bright oranges. The days grow shorter, the deer grow older, Things slow down. The old weathered road is one with its surroundings. Summer faded to fall, what was once a June rain shower is now an October snow dusting. The deer are looking for vegetation, the crickets are gone and the sound of a school bus is all you hear on a brisk October morning on this old weathered road.

That's the old weathered road.

Excuse my poor grammar.

Wow, have you ever considered writing for a newspaper, or maybe writing a book, or something, you have a very descriptive, colorful, capturing way of describing things. I also noticed this in another blog that you have. You could probably also sell anything, everything is in how you word it. You have a lot of writing potential. Good luck to you!
