What?? The Army maybe coming to Knightdale NC!!

How does a training center that will host 700 soldiers a weekend sound? If a public hearing goes well on 3-1-10 we could be seeing alot of camoflage in the near future. The Army wants to build a 25 million dollar training center here in Knightdale. Plans are for a 81,000sqft facility with a building for vehicle maintenance an repairs. Lt. Col. Brian Griffin (project officer for the Army Reserve Division) said engineering an transportation units will train an operate from the location an would be preparing for any possible deployment overseas. (No Weapons Training will be at this location my friends, that is done at military bases). The facility would employee 13 military personnel an 7 civilians. The location of Knightdale was viewed as good because of the access to major highways(264/540). A public hearing is scheduled for 3-1-10 so that the Town of Knightdale an the Army can come to an agreement on the construction drawings an utility allocations. Wow.
