My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

On the contrary aclouse! Thank you! For your encouraging words.

These days I mostly post what I do because the Lord wants me to. Many a time I have not wanted to post since it often seems like I am just speaking into the air for all the good it seems to do and since it usually takes me several hours to write up a long post, but He has impressed it on my heart to do so and I have obeyed.

My motivation in continuing to post is thus not to get comments or high readership, though that would certainly be nice. It is simply to post what the Lord lays on my heart to share with those who might stop by and read in the hope that it will do some good in advancing His Kingdom and helping the members of His Body at large rise up to live as we should in these last days.

Still...it's a wonderful thing to get an encouraging comment like yours once in a while.

As soon as I can I will be moving this blog to an independently hosted blog to allow for freer interaction between me and my readers. Although city-data has been great for me to get started with my blog it's too much of a barrier for most readers coming off the search engines to comment since they must first become city-data members.

I hope to open that up a lot and make it much easier for readers to comment and interact with me by moving to an independent blog.

Probably in the next month or two.

    Thanks again for your comments!

    God bless you.

    Carlos

    Hi Haller!

I was indeed kinda wondering what happened to you. I am so sorry to hear of your going through some rough circumstances Haller.

Please feel free to PM me for my personal email address if you ever need someone on the other side of the world to talk with. I promise not to bash you over the head with "God stuff" (if I can call it that but you know what I mean...I hope).

Yes...I saw the movie 2012. A bit improbable but made for an interesting story line. Improbable I mean that the countries of the world could get together and build some giant ark ships to sit on top of mountains in China to ride out a giant flood coming on the world.

Not to mention that I do not believe that this time around that God will destroy the world through another great flood. He promised not to do that again at least not in that way.

This time it will ultimately be destroyed by fire, not a flood.

I am curious Haller...do they show late release American made movies in the theaters in China?
In Chinese? Or are they sub-titled?

Thank you carlos, you are a true friend though you are so far away.

In the theaters in China, the voice of the film come from foreign countries is usually translated into Chinese.
But some will keep the original sound with the Chinese sub-titled,like the movie 2012.
    I prefer the latter

It is the second time for me to typed these words.
The sentences which mainly contained my trouble these days I typed the first time have disappeared when I pressed a wrong key;(

That's interesting that they show American movies in theaters there. I mean from the standpoint that American movies promote American culture (such as it is...these days I don't think that's such a good thing but regardless). Something I would think the Chinese government would not like too much.

Sorry to hear about your lost typing. That happens to all of us at one time or another. Very frustrating.

If you are writing something really valuable such as sharing your heart on something...it might be good to write it in a text editor first, saving it quite often that way, until you are ready to post it. Then copy and paste it into that little box city-data gives us.

What I do is press Ctrl-A followed by Ctrl-V every once in a while to put what I am writing into the clipboard so that I have a "saved" copy of it in case something happens where I also lose what I was writing.

Of course if my computer crashes I lose what I wrote too but under Linux that is an extremely, almost non-existant thing so I usually don't concern myself about crashes under Linux. For all intents and purposes that kind of thing just doesn't happen.

    Carlos

PS. Haller...please do keep in mind whatever you post that anything you say here is essentially public. Even our respective governments can probably read things here and have computers hard at work to discern word groupings they are interested in. If you are sharing something you would rather keep more private just PM me for my personal email address okay? I mean it's your decision but I thought I would remind you about the public nature of what we say over the internet.
