Life in Idaho County, Idaho

Posted 11-27-2009 at 11:54 PM by bammie21

I have been doing much reflection of the events that inundated our lives from Feb 20 to May 6 2009 (and, to a lighter extent, beyond).
I have come to the conclusion that there are many good people in Idaho County, but there are way too many that only think of material things and to those, anything goes when it comes to making money.
Idaho County drew us because of it's vast beauty, peace and quiet. Well, that is now hogwash in our opinion after we experienced 10 weeks of less than 4 hrs of sleep a night. Sleep deprivation is horrible.....if you think I am kidding or exaggerating, just give it a try! I have been having many health problems since suffering that.......and I will never be the same person I was before Knife River Corp, Deatley Rock Crushing, Skip Brandt, James Rockwell, Jim Rehdr (Idaho County Commissioners) and Kirk MacGregor (Idaho County Prosecutor) decided it was ok to inundate us with a huge rock crushing operation 250 yds from our home. Thanks so much to you all for that....and, oh!!! to Jerry and Melissa Martin (the infamous owners of the property where they activated the pit). Just what Idaho County needed was another scarred, ugly hillside where there had been a pristeen hill. If there were a thousand rock pits in this county, then why resurrect a spot that was only used to make the road for the sub division that ran by it.....some 15 years before.
