Happy Fall, Ya'll !!!

Well, today is officially the first day of Autumn. I love Fall! My favorite season without a doubt. I'm waiting for my friend, ai-angel_writer to write a blog about Fall (which she has promised me she will do soon!) She has such a wonderfully descriptive writing style, I'm sure it will be glorious. In the meantime, however, I decided to write my own "Fall Blog."
Fall just represents freshness to me. Some would say that here in the South we don't enjoy really stunning autumns like some parts of the country. But you know...sometimes I think because of the blisteringly hot summers here we may actually anticipate and treasure Fall more than other places that have more moderate summers! There's just something about that first nip of coolness in the air! We had some blissfully cool days a week or so ago with temps in the 70's during the day and 50's at night. This was unusal for Dallas, though, in September.
Ahh, the glories of Fall ~~~ a fresh new school year, the State Fair, colorful, changing leaves, harvests and a golden harvest moon, pumpkins and pumpkin pies, apples and caramel apples, Octoberfest, Fall Festivals, high school football, the first cool snap and the first fire in the fireplace, Thanksgiving Day, and did I mention pumpkin pie?
It's Fall! Enjoy!

Thank you! But I beg to differ, ma'am. You're much better than me at this sort of thing. I can describe it but when you write about it, it's like being there!!Posted 09-22-2008 at 02:17 PM by kaykay
