Quite a few topics in the title but mainly just the first words that popped into my brain and my brain tossed to my fingers and my fingers have presented them to you here.

a vocal signal her Brother and his squad used to ensure everyone was accounted for.....

She decided to move toward her parents bedroom door as quickly and quietly as possible.

Right when she was getting ready to reach for the door handle, the door flung wide open and all she could see was someone standing there with a flashlight shining in their face.

She screamed as loud as she possibly could and tried to run to the bedroom window but she couldn't move. Whoever was holding the flashlight grabbed her wrist and would not let go.

The lamp did not turn on though, the lightening was so bright she could see every detail of the room. She could still feel the grasp on her arm but no one was there in the room with her.

The noise had stopped but she thought she heard faint breathing and that made her heart race even more. She stopped screaming long enough to turn the switch on the light but the power was still out.

She decided to go back to her room and get her book light so she might be able to see...

I know storms are not uncommon in all areas but this storm was a bit different. Everything that involves a storm was the same except it all happened at different moments.

First it rained, then the wind blew, then there was lightening, then there was thunder but nothing happened at the same time.

We had 4 huge branches fall off of the trees and one fell around the satellite dish for the television but did not hit the dish at all.
