I've spent a great deal of time listening to the news lately, on how the candidates for President are doing and also on the economy.

This year, I've been feeling something, not so much dread nor anxiety or even fear....just a quiet nagging deep in the recesses of my mind that has steered me towards being prepared. It is almost similar to the 'nesting' instinct that women develop when it is almost time to give birth. Subtle, yet they instinctively know time is near.

I'm so tired, so dang sleepy. Night after night I watch the clock turn over to midnight or one. If I could just get in bed and go to sleep, I would feel much better the next day. But sleep eludes me and I am but a shell, staggering around during the day trying to wake up.

No, I do not have insomnia, my son does. My 14 year old son has not been able to go to sleep before one a.m. for over a week now, ever since school started. And of course, if he can't sleep, that means I can't...
