Tomorrow when you wake, think of others that have no homes, can't go to school, buy food, or just pick up a phone to call for help or assistance. Just a one minute prayer is all they need, from your lips to a higher powers ears. (God; for those who believe) and I do. Foreclosure left many homeless, jobs left families without food or clothing, children had to adjust to their new surroundings after losing their home. Maybe they moved in with relatives, friends or strangers. Adjusting for kids in a new school is hard, they left behind friends, best friends, and acquaintances for their next grade up. A parent feels like they have failed their children or a spouse when they loose all they thought was "forever" or "permanent" so when your on your way to work, or at a store, bank, clinic, waiting for an elevator, bus or taxi, and; someone bumps into you or is grumbling in line, or looks a bit tired in the elevator (might be from looking for a job), or they look like they haven't showered in days, changed their clothes, shoes look worn or they are without a coat and it is cold. Remember that could be "you" so use compassion, good judgment and say: you can go first, no problem, may I help you carry that? I'm going in your direction or, here let me pay for that if your standing in line in the grocery store and smile when you say it and mean it from your heart. This could have been "you." It still can, the recession is still here. "You" can make a difference in someones day, with just a gentle smile, a tender touch and a little hug. "You" can change their day, their mind set and their life. With these little things we all take for granted. I hope "you" have a good day tomorrow and your week is filled with family, friends and strangers. :ok:
