Iselin, NJ or Avenel, NJ

I'm planning to move NJ in a few months. I've narrowed my apartment complexes down to two: Tyler Greens in Iselin, NJ or Forest View in Avenel, NJ. Can anyone tell me anything about either of these complexes?

FYI - I have a 10 yr old son. I work in Midtown, NY near Penn Station. Maximum rent I can pay is $1600.
