Charles Kuralt was a North Carolina native journalist who had a unique gift of the way he described the way it is.
He graduated University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and later had a series called "On The Road", Then worked for CBS.
He had a book publish called
NORTH CAROLINA IS MY HOME.: Charles Kuralt

Charles Kuralt tells the story of the homecoming of 9 children of Alex and Mary Chandler for parents' 50th wedding anniversary and Thanksgiving in 1978....

has the steepest railroad grade.
Located in North Carolina often spotted with tourists
The town has festival called Coon Dog Day.
