Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Scripture Of The Day - Changing Your Mindset

Posted 02-08-2024 at 08:03 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

You shouldn't say things about yourself that God says are not true. eg. "I am a work in Progress" (false humility) Colossians 2:18 - "Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement." v.2:13 ..."having forgiven us all our transgressions."

You are giving yourself an excuse to sin occasionally and live short of God's full will for you. By wet-nursing this mindset you disengage yourself from living up to your full potential...

February 8, 2024 - Exhortation

Posted 02-08-2024 at 01:29 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

The Spirit of God provokes our conscience into remembrance of what He has told us to do. He stirs our spirits through conviction by His logos or rhema word bringing us to realize there is something deep inside of us that knows we are called to greatness.

There is a drying up of our satisfaction in lesser things; a determination to move out of distractions; an effectual grace to step out from under the weight and rise above in overcoming power.

The writer of the book...

Reaching Our Place Of Focus

Jeremiah 20:9 - "...But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not"

Like Jeremiah and Paul, you have been called before time to accomplish significant works for the Kingdom of God. The patriarchs of old had the same fears that we all have, but they pressed through it and changed the world.

God needs you to believe for the Christ calling He has prepared for you. Your part is key in His unfolding...

Right Standing With God - 7 (of 8)

Posted 02-07-2024 at 02:58 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

What is the pivot point of all Christianity?

Answer: 1. To advance the establishment of God’s Kingdom throughout the whole earth through our Christ calling as we bear fruit that remains.

Jesus' substitution and our identification with it. Jesus was made to be sin for us. He never committed sin but he became the nature of sin. To the extent that I realize that Jesus was made to be sin, that is how much I will see myself as the righteousness of God in Him....

Feeding Your Spirit

Posted 02-07-2024 at 10:59 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Numbers 14:9, "Do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them."

Caleb saw the giants in the land not as obstacles but as BREAD. As you take on your giants and defeat them they will become nourishment for you! What you bow to will increase your bondage but what you overcome will increase your power!

The enemy will be bread for you IF...
