Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Looking past form

Posted 08-07-2021 at 01:56 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

In Mark 3, Jesus entered into a synagogue and found a man there with a withered hand. The Pharisees were watching Him to see if He would heal the man on the Sabbath.

"And He said to them, 'Is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to kill?' But they kept silent. After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand!' And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored" - Mark 3:1-5...

Thought For The Day - August 6, 2021

Posted 08-06-2021 at 03:02 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." For the "substance"; we must look on Jesus. It is the most blessed object that the eye of the mind can possibly fix upon; of all the objects under heaven Jesus has the pre-eminence in perfection, and he should have the pre-eminence in our meditation. It is He that makes us most happy since we possess Him, and we cannot but be joyful to look upon Him, for the name signifies Savior....

Finding Our Place Of Departure

Posted 08-06-2021 at 01:14 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Psalm 18:28-29 says, “For You will light my lamp; the Lord My God will enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop; by my God I can leap over a wall.”

Not only will you leap over a wall, but you will receive supernatural strength, leap over every obstacle, and position yourself to go through the opening door that God has for you as you begin to understand and implement your Calling in Christ. Fear not the enemies on the other side of this gate. For you will leap through...

Praying The Psalms - August 5, 2021

Posted 08-05-2021 at 10:10 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

I waited patiently for the Lord to hear my prayer as He brought me out of the pit of hopelessness and set my feet upon a rock and establish my steps. (Psalm 40:1,2)

He gave me reason to sing a new song, praising our God; many will see and worship Him, giving Him their trust. (Psalm 40:3)

I am blessed because I place my confidence in the LORD and do not rely on arrogant people or those who follow after idols. (Psalm 40:4)

You have multiplied, O LORD my...

Lifting The Veil

Posted 08-04-2021 at 07:41 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

As sons and daughters of the King, we have been given authority to pray Heaven's blessings to earth.

It is God's desire to bless us and for us to witness and "see" His promises manifest as we seek to advance His Kingdom.

Just as Jeremiah was given the ability to "see" his new season (see Jeremiah 1:4-12), we are present-day Jeremiahs – having our eyes opened to understand and know all that God has formed for us (our future and DESTINY) has been...
