After 1 and a half weeks I finally got internet and can post how my bus trip went ....hungry!

I didn't have enough snacks with me.
I thought that most bus stations would have vending machines ...but not for $2 for a bottle of soda!
The 15 hr trip had so many delays and missed transfers that added 5 more hours.

One missed transfer at 3 am meant staying at the old station for 3 hours waiting for the next bus. An attendant told me they were supposed have...

Well, this is the last entry for my moving countdown. Today's moving day! I have three more hours before I have to go check in at the bus stop.

I knew that I needed my sleep last night. I will on the bus for 25 1/2 hours. However, I couldn't sleep. At first it was my arthiritic knees aching (yesterdays injections must affected them, I' been doing better) then I kept waking up. It figures that the anticipation kept me up

Once I can get to a hotspot in Madison...

Well this is it. Tonight is m last night here in Texas. Tomorrow at 1pm central I'll be leaving to travel to Madison. I won't lie and say I'm not worried.

I keep looking at what I'm leaving behind. And two things come to mind: I wish I can take more and where the hell did all this come from!


I'm not sure how soon I can get internet service once I arrive. So after tomorrow, I'll have to wait to post until I find a hotspot.

I'm so tired of packing that I'm having trouble sorting my thoughts right now. I'm looking at all my books and trying to decide what I want to pack and to get rid of. I want to sell some to Half-Price Bookstore but I don't think I'll have the time.

I found my digital camera, Mp3 player, the headset to my CD player, but not the player itself! I made some good progress in the living room's clutter. I dealt with half the mess from yesterday.

I bought a booklight...

Today was productive and counter-productive at the same time. I called Greyhound to inform them that I have a disablity and will need help at transfers with my luggage. I bought my ticket for Friday as well.

Well I got rid of a lot of furniture this afternoon. I gave most of it away and sold some others. I'm embarrassed to say I have more a mess now than before. I ran out of boxes and so to clear off the large corner desk we had to stack things on the floor. I kept a calm head...
