Mostly RV stories from the road, starting in June.
But first, you'll see how difficult it is just trying to get ready and actually leave home for a few months!

Catch up..
I left Taos, went to El Vado Lake, near Chama, NM, stayed for a week, met some guys who took me out kayaking for the first time.
Eventuallly drifted into Colorado,(not in the kayak!) stayed a few days in Pagosa Springs, before choosing an affordable RV site near Farmington, NM. I'll be here for a month, simply because of the price.

Taos: departure

Posted 07-12-2009 at 01:29 PM by anomoly (Anomoly's Adventures!)

One small main road that goes through the center of town, where the Plaza and all the businesses are. I dread thinking of driving out of here. There's a powwow this weekend, as well as a motorcycle rally, and a 3 day concert! None of which I'll participate in due to my claustrophobia.

Taos: the warning

Posted 07-03-2009 at 05:43 PM by anomoly (Anomoly's Adventures!)

So, now I'm a bit leary of staying much longer. It may be nothing, but I'm anticipating uneasiness. Luke says to prepare to be put to work, alot of work. I'm not afraid of work, but I am afraid of alot of demands. And my 2 cats might be a problem with their cat (they,...

My friends first wedding

Posted 07-02-2009 at 11:52 AM by anomoly (Anomoly's Adventures!)

Nancy, my friend for 27 years, is getting married for the first time at age 62! She's decided to have a quiet ceremony in Yuma, when she and her fiance, Bob, come down to help me move to a new RV park in September. She's also retiring then.
I will be her maid of honor!! I'm so excited to see them, and participate in the wedding. (I'll be the ONLY one!) She and Bob will stay for a couple of weeks, then return to Oregon where they live, BUT will return to Yuma for a couple of MONTHS in...

Taos: arrival

So I took up Charles and Melissa on their offer to stay at their property in Taos. Glorious, it is. She's in the gardening business, so flowers and vines are everywhere, and they have several little studios on the property. Charles is in antiques, and restoration, so remnants of all things old and cool fill the spaces. They even built a wonderful tree house loft, furnished with beds, electricity, and elegance.

One of the studios is where John Nichols wrote "The Milagro Beanfield...
