This small town in the Ark-La-Tex region of East Texas got a visit from me very recently. It was my real first time to pay attention to such a quaint little burg.

Jefferson, Texas, is a quiet place if you want to do a day getaway. In my case, it was a brief getaway from.........well, Tyler. But I digress. What I really got from that historic community were two general stores, and I got to step into one of them for some Blue Bell cookies-n-cream ice cream....
