Galatians 2:21 - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing! - At the time this scripture was written Jewish religious leaders were (and still are) telling their followers that they had to obey the old testament law in order to be saved. The old testament law is a set of "rules" on how to live given to the Jews by God in the old testament. Most everyone knows the Jewish religious leaders have always rejected Christ...
