Light at the end of the tunnel - A train?

There is a term in engineering known as positive feedback. It is what causes the ugly whine that you sometimes get when setting up an audio system...a mike hears its own speaker and amplifies the noise it hears which increases the output from the speakers, which increases the input to the microphone which increases the output of the speakers...well you get the idea.

We appear to have gotten into such a situation in Las Vegas Real Estate.

The lenders sell homes...

There is much lamentation of the Las Vegas RE market. And it is bad on the seller side. But let us look at a zip code that represents the more normal sort of Las Vegas neighborhood. 89134 is the oldest section of Summerlin. It has a total of 10,321 single family homes. It was pretty much built out around 2004 so it is relatively new...everything built since 1988 but little after 2004. Around half are senior housing.

Ahhh Lone Mountain..

Lone Mountain is a small peak in the Spring Mountains. It is at the eastern edge of the Springs which is the western edge of the Las Vegas Valley.

It is separarted by a mile or so from the rest of the Springs...so it sticks out there all by itself.

Lone Mountain rises to about 3300 feet from a 2600 foot base.

Has a reasonably gentle trail up its spine from the north west...

Maybe a little about Las Vegas and its interesting Denizens?

Just asked MrJason to start a blog on his adventures in rural Nevada. Should be interesting to see the California boy interact with the rurals.
