Had a bad night at the campsite. Someone decided it was ok to set up a camp at 12:30 am! In fact, when I left my campsite around 6:30 am, the guy asked me to give him a ride to the gate so he could get his truck and was offended when I said no!

Since it was still so early in the morning (and my body clock was still on Indiana time!), I decided to head to Bisbee and stop for breakfast somewhere along the way. I took Hwy. 82 through Patagonia and Sonoita and turned south on Hwy. 90. My...

Before I left Indiana, my research had showed me that I should look at areas in Cochise County but I also wanted to look at the areas near Cottonwood. However, I knew the prices in the Cottonwood areas would be a bit higher. I was looking for low income housing, but I was worried about there being a long waiting list. I had also found a few rental listings near Benson that weren't low income housing and fit into my budget.

I left my Patagonia State Park campsite, and took Hwy. 82 back...

I left Las Cruces early, topping off my gas (6.56) before getting on the road. I stopped and snapped a few pics at the first Arizona rest stop (later I found out this was near Dragoon).

Continued on to Benson which I explored a bit, stopping for gas ($23.49 @2.33) and a late breakfast before heading down Rte 90. Followed Rte 82 into Sonita and into Patagonia. Arrived at Patagonia State Park and set up camp. Found out that my cell phone wouldn't work so headed back into Patagonia...

Left Amarillo about 6:30 a.m. Was going to stop for breakfast and gas but did not realize I was to the outskirts. I kept looking for a decent gas price and next thing I knew I was in NM! Got gas ($21.01 @2.299) in Glen Rio NM grabbing some coffee and a muffin.

I had to stop almost hourly probably due to bad nerves from yesterday's hotel stress 😨

I thought Albuquerque was beautiful and wished I had time and the money to explore, especially the mountain houses...
