Listen to what these guys are telling you. In addition, do you really want to raise a kid in Jersey City? The good areas, where I presume you would live, are more recently gentrified but still don't offer much for a kid as far as outdoor places to play, or friends, and the bad areas...well, do you want your kid to grow up wearing a bullet-proof vest? Your kid isn't going to be all that excited that he can look out his window and see the NYC skyline or the Statue of Liberty when he can't play
