Many of those "boutique" shops are frequented by people that do not live in Detroit. Let's face it a few shops, a couple of Meijer's and sports...

I think you actually need to do some research on using "white flight" as the reason for the decline of Detroit....

If there are housing renovations going on in Detroit, I'd like to know where. In the Warrendale neighborhood where my husband grew up there were whole blocks of empty, boarded up or burned out homes.
