Although I have mixed feelings my brother, our GSD and I went to an adoption event today. I would have liked to have adopted a lab mix but Judy was aggressive toward the puppy so I passed on it. We adopted this little guy instead:

They tell us he's a Chow mix, with what is anyone's guess. He's two months old, too young to be neutered but is already house broken and has learned that he needs to wait for his collar to be put...

Unsure where to begin, it's so difficult when our fur friends are hurt or ill. Last night Orion came to me and begged, he got up on his back legs, put his paw on my arm and meowed. Wow. He's 11 and has NEVER done that before. I knew something was very wrong. He then went over to Judy, his best friend who happens to be a dog and was rubbing her chest and face purring for all he was worth.

Since he had an abscess in June that was my first thought, so I checked his teeth and discovered...

So the furkids are having anxiety attacks most of the day - am I at work? It's thundering and the dogs are shuddering <sigh> Cats are scurrying because the dogs are nervous. Except Orion, I don't think an earthquake would upset that cat some days.

I'm glad I found this site great pictures and stories. Judy, the dog, thinks I need to be admitted I'm laughing or trying to at these stories and pics. My brother told me I need to bring myself to work as a patient, ha. I AM...

Spent most of the daze in bed and wonder how patients WANT to do this? Really? <sigh> I know it's got to be pathological to enjoy being in bed all this time. It got old after about hour #2. There's so much I could be doing, the beach for one with the dog, she'd love it.

The good thing is the furkids are enjoying having a human here to cuddle with, three of the five where here most of the day. Nice to be surrounded by so much love
