This is not Mexico (earthquake prone) where everything is built out of concrete as CEMEX wouldn't allow anything else, just like here, the lumber companies won't have it any other way than stick-built homes. If they had their way, we'd even have wooden sidewalks.

Has anyone moved FROM California (San Diego) to SC (No. Charleston / Myrtle Bch. areas?

Looks like a few of us are at least considering the move so hopefully some ex-CAs will chime in. My Dh and I are visiting the area on Nov 1 for a 5-day intensive look-see. A friend is also moving & has secured a rental in Mt P. We are looking for somewhere warmer where we can Have a nice home without the crazy prices though we plan to rent before buying. It's all very different - and rather exciting to make a big change....
