Im 25 year old female..on Dec 2 2011 my life came to a stop all due to these 5 inch wedges. I thought i had just sprained it so i waited all weekend (it was a very painful weekend) before going to the doctors. Turns out i had broken both my tibia and fibula and had surgery that week...i am now half terminator with 2 plates and 20 screws! All because of these really cute shoes...i hate when people ask me how i broke it, im a bad liar so trying to make up something more exciting then tripping on heels just never works haha Anyways im going on month 4 and im FINALLY seeing a light at the end of the tunnel! Im still on both crutches and have a walking boot but was told by my dr that i can start 50% WB and hopefully in a couple weeks i will be 100% WB!! Its been a long process thats for sure but i now have a whole new respect for my legs and just broken bones in general...its no joke! Im a freak for vitamins now and am aware how important vitamins and eating healthy are for your bones and for your overall health. Im really looking foward to the months ahead and cant wait to be limpin around crutch free! :))
