Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

From The "Gee, I Can't Believe I Overlooked This" Department....

Posted 02-13-2024 at 07:44 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Recently, they had a YouTube video showing some of the oldest-living celebrities still around today. In taking a close look, I couldn't believe that there are some peeps in the entertainment world who I didn't even know were still alive..........and as old as they are.

No joke. Actress Janis Paige is still alive, and would you believe she's 102 this year? Yep. She is. Would you believe that bandleader Ray Anthony is 102 now? He's still alive today. ...

Pathetic Loser Biden* Continues His Assault On America

Posted 02-12-2024 at 06:16 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

It's actually a good thing that Joe Biden* declined his annual Super Bowl interview. President Donald Trump actually offered to do one, but you know that much of the media still doesn't want anything to do with him, for whatever their sorry reasons might be.

The bad news, however, is that Biden* briefly resurfaced on social media and complained about shrinkflation on people's choices of snacks. Shrinkflation? Companies are putting less content into their product, ...

Super Bowl LVIII: The Case Has A Prediction

Well, the Big Game which people have looked forward to is now here. All eyes will be on Las Vegas for tonight's event.

We've got the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. It's at Allegiant Stadium. You've got two pretty good quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Brock Purdy. And, yes, Taylor Swift will be somewhere in the stadium amongst a star-studded crowd just because Travis Kelce is getting a lot of attention at tight end, and she wants to see her sweetheart...

My, My, My, This Next Week Is Just Loaded

Posted 02-09-2024 at 07:20 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Sometimes, that calendar in the kitchen can just be too kind. We've got a loaded week coming right up in the next several days.

Coming up is the Super Bowl this Sunday, followed by Mardi Gras on Tuesday, Valentine's Day on Wednesday (which also coincides with Ash Wednesday, the first day of the Lenten season), and pitchers and catchers report to baseball's spring training facilities before week's end. Loaded up, indeed.

And that doesn't even count...

The Entire Cast Of "Police Woman" Is Still Alive Today

Posted 02-05-2024 at 07:25 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I saw something today on YouTube that just blew my mind. An observation was made by one of the users that a TV series from the 1970s still has every cast member still alive as of February 5, 2024. It's by far the oldest one.

No joke.

Remember the old NBC-TV series, "Police Woman"? What a groundbreaking series that was, and with an extraordinary cast, too. Angie Dickinson (the real star of the show at the time), Earl Holliman, Charles...
