Buying a House in Smyrna, GA

I am looking at possibly buying a house in Smyrna, GA... near Jonquil Park. What can you tell me about this area?

I am a 33 year old white male. I am a operations manager for a distribution company and I am single (no kids). Do you think this area would be good for me? Is it safe?
