Posted 07-07-2008 at 08:05 PM by Pam& Bill

Once we finally found the cabin we had rented, we unpacked the truck and went inside to check it out.

Then we hopped back into the truck and headed into town for some dinner. I felt funny and somewhat shy around him. I kept looking at him covertly. There was never a shortage of conversation. The 2 of us never shut up. To admit I felt funny or shy is almost unheard of for those that know me. Shy is not normally in my vocabulary.
I think it took me 2 whole days to get used to...

The Calm After The Storm (Exposed Part 4)

Posted 07-07-2008 at 05:47 AM by Pam& Bill

Bill stayed down in Oklahoma at his cousins for close to a month. There was sporadic contact of a few stolen moments of phone calls.

Bill got word that electric service had been restored. So he and his wife headed back to Ms. and arrived, just in time for Rita to hit. Electric and phones were out for another week.
Having experienced Katrina affected Bill in ways I couldn't begin to fathom, and I couldn't understand.
All I knew was he seemed to have grown distant. He...

Hurricane Katrina arrives.....(Exposed part 3)

Posted 07-06-2008 at 03:10 PM by Pam& Bill

A week or two before Katrina arrived, Bill and I made the leap from online chatting to a phone call. That call is in my mind as if it happened only yesterday. The first time I heard that deep, soft southern drawl made my knees weak. That call lasted 5 hours. 5 hours where we talked non stop. 5 hours that changed my thinking about Bill Moyers. There was more to this guy then shyness and stroke. I had never met anyone I could talk to about anything and they knew what I meant. If such a thing as a electrical...

It is a miracle to me that Bill and I ever got together and realized we were one anothers missing puzzle piece. We completed one another. There I said it, all those strident militant feminst voices in my past be damned. Since the lightening bolt hasn't come out of nowhere and struck me down yet, I'll continue.

2 people couldn't have been raised in such opposite ways or regions or social climates.
Bill was raised in New Orleans and resided the last 2 decades or so in rural Mississippi,...

Exposed

Posted 07-01-2008 at 08:25 PM by Pam& Bill

People have been wondering where Bill's presence on the internet is? It isn't there any longer. Life, health issues and sharing one computer has basically banished Bill from sight.
Bill and I met online years ago on a stroke support site as we are both stroke survivors.
I lived in upstate NY then and he resided in Mississippi and we spent hours every day online with one another. Maybe 6 months into our online affair we finally met face to face.
We rented a cabin in Pigeon Forge,...
