The Benziger Family Winery

Some of the best wines in the world come from small family wineries. The Benzinger winery is an example of this. Their winery has been in operation for more than three decades and they offer wine made from Biodynamic, sustainable, organic farming procedures. They like to consider their wines "authentic and memorable." Wines can be purchased at their winery in Sonoma Mountain or online from their website. Two Benzinger family members purchased the winery from the previous owners during the 1970's, and over the course of thirty years, other members of the family became involved in the operations of the winery. They originally created wines like all of the other wineries in the area. As the grounds began to change, the Benzingers looked for solutions for tending the soil and crops that did not involve pesticides and other chemical methods. They began to practice green farming and before they knew it, they were looking at winery land that was lush, productive, healthy, and full of life. They were able to translate this into their wines. Believing their wine has both character and conscience, they offer a variety of reds, whites, and seasonal wines. Wine club members are entitled to a discount on purchases and a variety of other benefits.
